Often times, we live within the cushioned borders of our comfort zones. But occasionally, some of us begin to search for a deeper meaning. But how?

The question which sparked my personal quest for my deeper truths was “Who do you stand for?”
It’s an empathetic question, as life’s true meaning is about people other than ourselves.
It forced me to ask “whom do I care about?”

And since then, I’ve been answering this question, not in a general, abstract way, but in a very concrete and specific way. Each piece of inspirational furniture is designed not just for functionality, but bears an intangible message. It’s a memorandum of—and tribute to—our better selves.

Observe this standing lamp. Notice the acrylic tubes, filled with coarse sand, opening up as if in a flare from the metal inserts at the bottom, and a metal ‘tie’ which fixed the acrylic flares from separating. I’ve designed it as a reminder for asking this life changing question.

And to answer it thoroughly, we have to ask ourselves three questions:
What are we willing to give it all up for?
Where does our courage come from?
What does our hearts say?

There’s nothing wrong with physical comfort. It’s perfectly fine to want that bigger house, a beautiful piece of jewelry or lavish vacations. But that’s not all what we’re about, is it?
“When you know who you are and what you stand for, you stand in wisdom’” says Oprah.

So, who do you stand for?
