Don't be Afraid to Shine

Sometimes, we fear success no less than we fear failure. Perhaps, on some level we are afraid of making others look or feel bad.

If we’re more successful than they are, won’t it change our relationship?

Will they still treat us the same way?

So much of what holds us back in life are the long-held resentments stemming from childhood. We sense love, but we don’t believe in it. We save our faith for fear. But ultimately, there is a quiet voice in each of us that longs for something better. In fact, we only have one problem: that our mind chooses fear over love.

These are the words of Gabby Bernstein, a mentor who has become a beacon of light to many, explains that she learned that fear is simply an illusion based on past experiences that we project into the present and onto the future.

She also states that much of our anxiety and stress comes when we’re focused on fear and disconnected from the voice of our inner guide.

“In the midst of the darkness, grab a flashlight,” says Bernstein, “don’t be afraid to shine, the world needs your light”.
